The Golden Filter Beauty Bar Austin TX ( jakes Ghetto Review

By far this was one of the most memorable shows  to me this year because every track rocked ! Chris Casual  early this month had hipped me on to them but i really hadn’t payed much attention until 2  weeks ago . To me there like 20 20 vision  meets Siouxie  reminded me allot of Random Factors earlier stuff and 2020 visons sound (that they  so strayed away from    but with an updated twist!

She was very livley at the show and deff threw off the presence that she was in charge! i talked to Stephen and her for a micro second very nice  personalities from what i could sniff.

POSR welcomes the infamous Adam Warped to the Band!

POSR would like to give a warm welcome to a new add eeee to the band  no other than the FAMOUS  ADAM FUCKIN WARPED!!

I first met this guy in a drunken haze when i was playing in San Fransisco they had booked me for SPORK in San Fran, i don’t really remember that night (Adam tells me i was pissing on the venue twice and almost got kicked out, i don’t remember but whatev haha)  ahh that week was sooooooo blurrry.  Come to find out this boy moves to austin so naturally it becomes a reunion! he will be heading up the programming for POSR drum machine and such!

here’s a little bio about this boy..

Adam has turned the tables from ‘Formula 660′ in Waikiki, Hawaii to ‘Hedonism 3′ in Runaway Bay, Jamaica and almost everywhere in between. His signature smooth blend of obscure forward thinking grooves has won over audiences at countless raves and legendary nightclubs. Since 1993 he has graced the decks at Limelight, Tunnel, Liquids, Groovejet, Shampoo, Speeed, The Raleigh Hotel, The Lunatarium, 111 Minna, Filter 14, Phoenix Landing, Le Souk, The Rickshaw Stop, The W Hotels, 1015 Folsom, Mezzanine, Love, and many more.

The duo reunited and returned from relative obscurity in 2005 with a remix of HAWKE’s(Gavin Hardkiss) single “Flower Girl”. Originally released on Ditrec Records as a limited edition 12″ vinyl it is now available digitally(on Stompy.com, Beatport, etc.) via Q-Burns Abstract Message’s esteemed label Eighth Dimension Records. Warped Crew’s Deflowered remix has also been licensed for a mix cd entitled “Rachdingue Vol. 1″ representing Spain’s legendary surrealist avant-garde nightclub “Le Rachdingue Discotheque” in Catalonia Vilajuïga.

as i been pacing over and over and over going crazy about a part in this chorus it just been driving me INSANE  just funny how 1 note can throw off my whole  mind!  for a week i been trying to figure out this chrus and now that i got it its like a weight has been lifted AKKKKK the love of music!!!

KAP BAMBINO! No Other Like them (review)

THE INITIATION
Ok so my cousin GEO(the infamous GEOof San Antonio hipped me onto this new fantastic fucking band called KAP BAMBINO! At first i saw there site and was a bit surprised that they didn’t look like the typical hipster guy girl group, there was something that sparkled about them, a certain SHINE SHINE.. As soon as i pressed play on that my space player i fucking fell in love it was like listening to Old thrash/punk but with a beautiful serenading girl voice that sounded ohhh so Japanese… these 2 are from France imagine that!(another awesome band from France) so right away i was on my journey to download as much as i could from them.

THE COPY
I illegally downloaded there album thank to bit torrent and listen to the album on repeat for days . me and sicca were jamming it left and right over and over. EVERY FUCKING TRACK IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sick i couldn’t believe it it wasn’t one of those other boring 8bit fad bands this band is something beautiful something with rock star potential (to me there already rock stars!)…. so immediately(well 1 month later) i decided to purchase the album on itunes so i did i also tried buying the cd but NO luck! UGGG so i decided to puchase  the red eyes EP from som random site, so now i have  kap bambino framed and looking at me every morning on my wall. i haven’t had an obsession since my slayer days …

THE LIVE SHOW (SXSW)
So geo comes up with holly and another friend to see kap bambino i decided not to go see them at the first show  with boyz noise but decided to go the next day to a more intimate show. where i would be fuckign amazed!!  This girl was like POSSED!!! it was like seeing another person than the quiet little french girl sitting waiting to play. Her voice was on point her stage presense was unbalivable! my god i havent seen a show like that in quiet a while.

 

THE DESCISION
Overall this duo from france is my favorite at the moment the producer is sick the singer is sick and so is the overall performance 10 thumbs up bitches!!

Biography
Kap Bambino is an electronic musical duo from Bordeaux, France. The group is known for Caroline Martial’s wild vocals and Orion Bouvier’ electronic metal mixes. The group is also known for their excited live performances, thus them being a part of the festivals ZXZW, Dot to Dot[1] and playing shows with Felix Kubin, DAT Politics, These New Puritans, Late of the Pier and Patric Catani. In 2001, Martial formed the group’s own independent label, “wwilko”. They have been featured in NME, Another Magazine, Dummy Mag and Dazed and Confused. Additionally, the group was featured in Matt Irwin’s 2007 film for Armani Exchange. Caroline is listed among the “hottest young models .. in London and New York.” The group has independently toured all over Europe, Japan and Mexico.

The two have separate side projects outside of Kap Bambino, Bouvier is “Groupgris”, and Martial is “Khima France”.

To jail with a smile :)

As i was on my way to destination unknown.  some flashy red things started t o appear in my mirror. I was calm but pissed at the same time as the officer stuck his head down to scold me for speeding my veins pumped that ohhh so familiar fear into me. I handed the officer my DL and he bolted off to check my credentials.. i was quite sure that nothing was going to come up BUT IT DID!  as he slapped the cuffs on me he said i was under arrest i asked the officer for what? he said because you had failed to show up for court for riding on the side walk with yer bike .. I could do nothing but smile and we kinda both chuckled under our breath..There was no use in getting angry so i just said how retarded i was for not showing up. As escorted my head into the car he started to look up more info on me. and the situation he started to explain why he had to take me in, i told him “hey man yer just doing yer job you don’t make the laws, you just enforce them (we both laughed)”, he even said I’m not trying to be a jerk(wow that was awesome.) and he said that he wouldn’t book me in cause i was being really nice and cooperative . i asked him about the speeding ticket that he was supposed to give me for speeding in a school zone and he said, hey no worries man yer cool in my book and said he wouldn’t give me the ticket So he basically dropped me off at court were i appeared before the judge and the judge basically dismissed it

Fucking awesome hahaha reminds me of how much things flow if ya keep that PMA! baby!  POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE

PS going to jail for riding a bike on a sidewalk would have SUCKED!!! only in austin

The power of the Bass and the sex of the drums

 

 

So upon pondering and pondering over the weeks i decided to say fuck it!!! lets just do 2 basses in the live show. because most of the tracks are doubled up basses one with  distortion and one not . so i thought to my self hmmmm  fuck it lets do it for the live show .. so iLlson will now be playing the bass also. I think it will add a unique sound MMMMMMM drum and basss mmmmmmm
